In a one-year period, 2004-05, three major works appeared on Harriet Tubman, by Kate Clifford Larson, Catherine Clinton, and my former UMB colleague, Professor Jean Humez, Emerita.  They are all still in print, available in paperback editions, used or new, from major publishers, on Amazon etc.  Dip into any one of the volumes, and you'll find that Tubman did not make 19 trips into the South, nor did she rescue 300 slaves, and so on.

single passenger."  Professional actress and historian Gwendolyn
Briley-Strand brings to life the courageous story of Harriet Tubman in a
