Greetings All!

I have a trivial question. Years ago, my mother told me she had read that a woman accused of flying was tried for witchcraft in colonial Virginia, but was released by the judge, who said she might have defied the laws of gravity but had not violated the laws of the Commonwealth. My mother could not remember where she read it. 

It's a good story. I'd like it to be true. But I have never been able to find anything like this in Virginia's colonial records. 

Perhaps it was fiction. Does this ring a bell with anyone?
