As I said in a previous, and public post, I am willing to agree that you
and I do not see the flag in the same light; I might very well have
asked someone the same thing you asked Brent:  why doesn't Kevin "get
it" that for blacks and other historical victims of the KKK and White
Supremacists, the flag remains a symbol of oppression and hate and that
anyone who flies it must understand that it causes pain to others.
 Obviously I cannot convey this to you any more than you can convey to
me that those who fly the flag are innocent lovers of some aspect of
history.
So, we disagree.
Perhaps we can all learn from this discussion.
