I thought that someone might be interested in this new website that was just put online for the Western Maryland Historical Library entitled: Allegany Women's History. Here's the write up taken from the Allegany County Maryland ARTS Flash of 6/12/2007:

*HISTORIC ALLEGANY COUNTY WOMEN*

Thanks to the Western Maryland Historical Library (WHILBR) and Al Feldstein, the "Historic Allegany County Women" site is now up. The site contains approximately 150 local women with photographs to accompany and complement a vast majority of the write-ups. Several Arts Council members, and past women artists of note, are included. To check out the list, please http://www.whilbr.org/AlleganyWomen/index.aspx, or as a featured page on the main Western Maryland Historical library site at www.whilbr.org.

Enjoy!
