Thank you for the heads up. I believe this information is timely, and appropriate for the list. The message is to help those who are first time authors make an informed decision. Most of us know who is and is not misrepresenting themselves, and can make an informed decision. The list is just a check point. Someone pointed out to me that they were approached by a University Press. Most of us know that University Presses are legitimate, and operate under the authority of a University. No matter who you sign with, make sure your rights are protected, that is the message I want to convey.

Another source of information on publishing is the Writer's Market. They,
too suggest getting an agent, but warn it can be hard for a first-time
author.
