The next event in the Virginia Heritage Resource Center's Mining the
Treasure House Lecture Series will take place at noon on Tuesday, 19
December 2000, in Conference Room A adjacent to the lobby of the Library of
Virginia at 800 East Broad Street in downtown Richmond.

Amy Judd and Glenn Smith, of the Library's Records Management and Imaging
Services Division, will speak on the topic, "Using the Chancery Records
Index," a new data base for Virginia court records that is being compiled in
the Library of Virginia.

An introduction and access to the data base can be found on the Library of
Virginia's web site at http://www.lva.lib.va.us by clicking open the index
feature in the left side bar, then clicking the letter C in the index, and
then opening the Chancery Records site.

There is free underground parking for patrons of the Library of Virginia.
For more information on this and other programs and services of the Library
of Virginia please visit the Library's web site or call 804-692-3592.
