I agree, it would be lovely to have source material more readily available.   In the meantime, for those who do not have access to the Ferrar microfilm,  go to LVA Index http://www.lva.lib.va.us/siteindex/index.htm, scroll down to Colonial Rcords Project and enter Ferrar for online copies of some papers.   Yes, slow going, but most research is.
