I talked with several people who went to see the movie. They said it
was the most boring (one person fell asleep), confusing and
uninteresting movie they had ever seen although the Virginia scenery
looked great! As the song says 'it didn't have much of a plot'.

Subject: NYT praises "The New World," new version

Dear colleagues:

Terrence Malick has re-edited--and shortened--his film "The New World,"
and The New York Times has a very positive review of it today online at
http://movies2.nytimes.com/2006/01/20/movies/20worl.html As of this
weekend, the new (and presumably final) version of the film opens across
the country.
