The next event in the Virginia Heritage Resource Center's Mining the
Treasure House Lecture Series will take place at noon on Tuesday, 17 October
2000, in Conference Room A adjacent to the lobby of the Library of Virginia
at 800 East Broad Street in downtown Richmond.

The speaker will be Jim Greve, Private Papers Coordinator for the Library of
Virginia, and his topic will be "Recent Acquisitions in Private Papers." The
Library's holdings of the personal and family papers of Virginians are
valuable and extensive but not so well known as they deserve to be, so this
discussion of some recent acquisitions will be a useful update for people
who have used those resources in their research and a better introduction to
the resources for those who have not.

There is underground parking for Library patrons. For more information on
this and other programs and services of the Library of Virginia please visit
the Library's web site at http://www.lva.lib.va.us or call 804-692-3592.
