I wish to scour records for the period 1550-1660 to
see what mention may have been made of English sailors
operating in Africa and in the West Indies. I am
particularly interested in events that led in January
1635 to the re-taking of Tortugas by Spanish forces.
Any links (ideally via email) to the repositories of
such records would be most appreciated.
