No Hawkins relative here. I wonder who is referenced in the movie as the
"Hawkins" swing voter? 
I did not like the characterization of this Hawkins person, which is why I
am trying to discern who they mean as this character's pseudonym

Representatives.  Spielberg did an excellent job of portraying a historical
accuracy of members in Congress.  Read the Congressional Globe during this
time period and read the speeches.  This is a great movie!
