My late father, Samuel G. Hibben, was an illumination engineer who designed
the lighting for several Virginia landmarks: Endless Caverns, Natural Bridge
and (I think) Luray Caverns. He was then Director of Applied Lighting for
the Westinghouse Co.
I am writing Dr. Hibben’s biography and would like to get details on these
lighting projects. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
I have dates of 1927 for Natural Bridge and 1937 for Endless Caverns; I
don’t have anything more on Luray.
Tks,
Stuart Hibben
