If the Colonies did not like being taxed to help pay for the costs of
protection from the French didn't they feel well entitled to leave?

Examples of current events in the Ultra federal system we currently have and
really started with Lincoln are poor analogies.  The Revolution and Civil War
were only 80 years apart.
