According to the "Hornbook of Virginia History" the following is stated about
the Jamestown Church:

"Jamestown Church in James City County is almost enitrely a modern
reconstructrion ot the brick church built between 1639 and 1644. The original foundation
and the tower, which was added between  1647 and 1680, are all that remain of
the original structure."
