Ah, yes, you see most of the Media accounts of what is going on has
turned this into a racist event...but it is not...so being able to at
least state the Cherokee view point kinda squares the situation up
some...otherwise it seemed rather lope sided...

I did not detect any no civility...it's an emotional topic and
sometimes folks say things under the heat of passion they might not
otherwise say...in which case that is understandable....:)

My 2 cents worth....:)

Anyway, I want to throw in my two cents for civility -- the purpose of the list is to explore the past and to enjoy the interplay of ideas and viewpoints from others who care about our history -- not to score points. I, for one, would hate to see people turned off from the list by intemperate remarks.

Either you can't bear the thought of agreeing with me on anything or you can't figure out how to or just can't bring yourself to criticize one of the groups of people you normally so vigorously defend. I imagine it would be difficult to criticize either of two groups of people who, until now, seemingly could do no wrong. But people are people,

The next you are all-wise and prehistoric.
