A recent contributor of a compiled list of the crew of the /Tempest/ to 
the /Magazine of Virginia Genealogy/ posed a question I could not 
answer, but one I thought someone on this list might know the answer to 
or a source for additional research.

One of the questions in my mind, which you might be able to offer some 
insight into, is just _"how many" men served with the Virginia Navy_ 
from 1775-1783?
