*GRIVA's 2017 Fall Conference Features Expanded Vendor Area*
The Genealogical Research Institute of Virginia's Fall Conference
brings nationally known speaker John Philip Colletta, PhD, to Clover HIll
High School, Midlothian, Saturday, 14 October 2017, 9am to 4pm. During the
day Dr Colletta will demystify the Library of Congress, county court
houses, and 19th century newspapers. In conclusion he will demonstrate how
to use one's research to present an ancestor’s life as an engaging true
story.
A highlight of the conference will be the expanded vendor area which
is open to the public during conference hours.
Coming from Columbus, Ohio, *Maia's Books*, specializes in genealogy,
history, social history, conversation starters for discussing and sharing
family history, and other items of use and interest to genealogists and
historians.
*A B Pruitt* publishes books dealing primarily with North Carolina
state and county records.
*Jigsaw Genealogy*, of Williamsburg, Virginia, is a source of
wall-sized charts, forms, worksheets, research kits, archival-safe photo
storage materials, and other necessities.
*Forever* offers a complete memory-keeping solution, in a permanent,
secure, trustworthy place in the cloud, where people and families can save
and share all of their memories for generations to come.
*Goochland County Historical Society* was founded in 1968 to present,
preserve and protect Goochland County heritage and tradition.
Registration is required to attend the lectures, but the vendor area, free
to the public, is a great place to meet folks from local genealogical and
historical societies and to look at the publications and products that
might assist one's research!
