THE JOURNAL OF EARLY AMERICAN WARS AND ARMED CONFLICTS

Prospectus

The Need
The popular culture of military history today says that the exciting articles are those about Napolean's wars, the American Civil War, World War II, and the Korean and Vietnam Conflicts. Few journals publish articles about pre-American Civil War American armed conflicts. Conflict to Conflict is a journal that will publish military history articles by academic faculty, independent scholars, students of all levels, and anyone who loves, researches, and writes about military history.

The Audience
Professional and amateur historians, history buffs, genealogists, and family historians will find Conflict to Conflict a necessary addition to the annuls of military history.

The Editorial staff
Russell James, the publisher, holds a master of arts degree in history from The University of West Florida, has written and compiled over thirty books and over seventy-five articles on matters of military and local history and biography. He is the publisher of Cantadora Press. An editorial review board of international scholars review articles for the journal in a double blind-review format.

The Journal
The journal will include articles on America's involvement in war pre-1861, including, but not limited to: Seven Years War, American Revolution, whiskey rebellion, Barbary Wars, War of 1812, the many eastern and southern Indian wars, and the Mexican War. Articles in regard to all branches of service are welcome. The journal will be published bi-annually beginning in November 2005. It will be marketed to scholars and academic institutions throughout the American South and the United States.
