The Fifth Annual Fairfax County History Conference, sponsored by the  
Fairfax County History Commission, the Fairfax County Park Authority,  
and the Fairfax Museum & Visitor Center, will be held on Saturday,  
November 7, 2009, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the James Lee Community  
Center in Falls Church. The theme of this year’s conference is  
“Fairfax: This is YOUR County!”

Learn more about Fairfax County’s historic places through exhibits and  
presentations by local historians. Get familiar with historian’s plans  
for the future. The conference will also provide networking  
opportunities for those who seek to build a collective voice to  
address preservation issues. Teacher recertification credits and book  
signings will also be available.

The Fairfax County Park Authority Cultural Resource Management and  
Protection Section will discuss ongoing projects and offer lab tours  
throughout the day.

The $20 per person fee includes continental breakfast, lunch and  
parking. Prepaid registration is required by October 20, 2009, and is  
limited to the first 200 registrants.

James Lee Community Center is located at 2855 Annandale Road in Falls  
Church, VA.
