Somewhere around the house I have a BBC produced recording of British
accents. I don't know if it was ever released commercially. It was
given out as a gift to their short-wave listeners. Fascinating,
because of the cross-compartmented nature of the British Isles there
are an amazing number of dialects, some border on languages, from a
very small area.
