About the record of the marriage of Robert Bolling and Jane Rolfe, Janet
Hunter asked, "Is this in the Bolling/Batte papers?"

The evidence of the marriage of Robert Bolling and Jane Rolfe is
inscribed in Bolling's handwriting in his personal copy of John Purvis,
COMPLETE COLLECTION OF ALL THE LAWS OF VIRGINIA (1684), which is in the
Rare Book Collection here. If memory serves J. A. Leo Lemay included
transcriptions of the family records from that book in some one of his
publications on Robert Bolling (1738-1775).
