Some subscribers to the Library of Virginia's Va-Hist and Va-Roots
discussion lists may have experienced difficulties posting or receiving
messages during the last few days.

An electrical problem at the Library of Virginia some time on Saturday
morning (the nature of which I do not know) caused some of our computers
to shut down or fail. It completely destroyed my e-mail account, which
was not restored until late Monday afternoon.

If you did not receive any or much traffic from the lists during the
period Saturday to Monday, that may be the reason. If you were
unsuccessful in posting a message to either list during the time, that
may be the reason.

Please be patient and recall what sometimes happens to the best laid
plans of mice and men.
