Donald Locke's information on the Jefferson DNA study is new, highly
intriguing, and I for one am grateful he posted to this list. I hope he
continues to post.

Regarding the ensuing rumpus, today's NYT has an article called "In Climate
Debate, Hype Is a Pitfall," with an observation we could apply to Hemings/TJ
and the difficulty of having a sane discussion -- "the issues are mainly
framed by polarizing figures who tailor their message to people who already
strongly support their views."
