This morning's Richmond Times-Dispatch at www.timesdispatch.com has a
very fine story on the last surviving one of the Bedford Boys, the men
from Bedford County, Virginia, who participated in the invasion of
Normandy. As most subscribers to this list know, Bedford, Virginia,
suffered the highest per capita losses of any place in the United States
on that occasion. That is why the National D-Day Memorial is in Bedford.
