IF the records exist, you can search for the record of the warrant in
Buckingham County judgments in the County Order Books. The case would be
listed as "Commonwealth vs. Joe Doe," (whoever your Joe Doe might be).

Subject: Criminal arrest warrant 1811

Are there any records of warrants for arrest in the office of the Governor
which are available for research in the Library? This crime occurred in
Buckingham, where the records seem to have been "purged" frequently by
arson. However, I have no reason to believe a trial was held. I would like
to find information concerning the circumstances of the alleged crime, in
this case murder. Many thanks.
