Also consider that the flag most people think of as the Confederate flag ( A
rectangular flag with a St Andrews cross on it ) really isn't. The Confederate
battle flag, which has this cross on it, was square not rectangular. It was
developed to look different than the Federal flag which caused confusion at 1st
Manassas in 1861. The Confederate national flags (there were 3 versions of
it) were nothing like what we see flying today as the Confederate flag...the
closest to that flag was the Confederate Naval Ensign.
If one is going to change the flag then change it back to the original state
flag when the state entered the Union...that makes more historical sense than
the abortion Ga. has as flag.....ugly
