Hi Folks,

I normally wouldn’t send out something so close to the last note, but this seems very interesting. Thanks to William Strollo of the Wilton House Museum for information about next Saturday’s lecture.

I would like to pass along some information regarding an upcoming lecture at Wilton House Museum, on Saturday, July 30th, that may be of interest to you and your organization’s membership. Author and historian Jim Thompson takes a look at Virginia's "aristocracy" leading up to the American Revolution. A terrific collection of paintings, portraits, and old photographs have survived to illustrate the era of Virginia's "Old Dominion." Additionally, many fine structures, such as Wilton, serve as prime examples of the political and economic power held by these influential families.

Mr. Thompson’s lecture is free to the public and begins at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 30th. A tour of the historic house, including the exhibit “The Battle, Sir, Is Not To The Strong Alone: Richmond and the American Revolution” will be offered following the lecture and reception. Books will be available after the lecture for purchase, and signing. If you have any questions regarding this lecture fell free to contact me. We hope to see you at Wilton next week for a thrilling lecture!
