Eric,

I believe we have discussed this topic before. The Scott book does have a picture and mentions "Shed Town". However, it is a photograph of George Winston's house. George Winston was a major developer of "Shed Town". He bought and sold much of that area. In my 2003 VCU MA Thesis titled The Building Career of George Winston (1759-1826), I discuss this house and Shed Town. Furthermore, my thesis contains summaries of court records and MASV policies. I suggest you go to LVA and search through these documents. LVA has a copy of my thesis. Lastly, the 1817 Map of Richmond by Richard Young will also be helpful.

Good Luck. Please feel free to contact me directly.

Jim
