If I may insert a thought: 

There is some mighty nasty, insulting language being thrown back and forth.  
Did someone on this list refer to themselves as intellectuals? 

My comprehension must be lacking - tho' I did think there was tobaccy in dem 
dere warehouses that we burned in Richmond - not cotton.
