In addition to /Chicago /you might want to consult Elizabeth Shown 
Mills' /Evidence Explained/ and her website 
https://www.evidenceexplained.com/content/about-author

as she deals with many of the resources used by genealogists that are 
not dealt with to any great extent by Chicago. Turabian is not used by 
today's genealogical community.
