Folks,

First of all: Many, many thanks to the all who have contributed to
the difficult and often confusing information on Pocahontas.
I could not have completed this project without the input of the many who
contributed facts, web sites and suggestions. I am saving all the emails on
this topic.

I have finished the planned website with a summary, a biography, a web
bibliography, a time line, and a Flash presentation. You can see and
critique it at http://www.educationalsynthesis.org/famamer/Pocahontas ... I
think I got all the typos out and my facts should be consistent across all
pages, but I'm sure I missed something important.

Now to start down the road of testing it. Originally, I wanted it
to be usable by Kindergartners taking their first steps in history, but I
suspect the final product may appeal more to older elementary and secondary
students studying Virginia history and famous Americans. First testers will
be a family of homeschoolers who will go to the library to see it
(tomorrow, if it doesn't rain). These children have been studying
Pocahontas the past two weeks and after viewing the Flash, will come home
to take a "test" on what they have learned by drawing pictures from the
life of this interesting Virginian.

Please share your comments, suggestions and experiences on this
effort. If you have children, please share it with them and let me know
what they think (and their ages, of course).

Again, thanks for all the wonderful help!

                         Anne
