Full-time position with benefits available at The Papers of Thomas
Jefferson: Retirement Series to support letterpress and electronic
publication of Jefferson’s letters. Primary responsibilities include
transcribing and coding historical documents, creating and manipulating
digital images; other projects as assigned. The successful candidate will
have the ability to master our XML-based text editing system, to
manipulate digital images, and to operate within our database systems, as
well as demonstrated experience working with 18th- and 19th-century
handwriting. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required,
with training or an interest in history preferred. Please visit our web
