Good afternoon,

I have a question regarding Treasury Warrants. An individual (William
Peters) patented 50 acres of land in Amherst County in 1805 (probably to
secure questionable boundaries of a 1760 patent) using Treasury Warrant #3470.

Is this warrant #3470 going to be the same warrant #3470 that was issued to
Thomas Hart in 1780 for 400 acres?

I suppose what I'm asking is, were numbers ever re-used? Or did my guy
purchase some of the equity of LOTW 3470 from Thomas Hart?

Scott
