I have a distant cousin in Campbell County, Va who lost four children in one week to diphtheria. This happened between 1880 and 1900, I think. I have been unable to find record of an outbreak/epidemic of diphtheria in Virginia during this period. Does anyone on the forum know of one?
Thanks in advance, John Cullom, Catonsville, Maryland.
