To all you knowledgeable people a bit of help or clairification on this
please.

I have found an  listing for an Ancestor of mine in the book on Virginia
Tithables in Burned Counties in 1773 & 1774 it lists first 3 tithables and then
the next year 4 tithables.

Now my question is this.  Was the slaves tithable at that time also? I am
unsure if these tithables are all over 21 or does it include slaves as it does in
later years?
