This is a devastating rejoinder in my opinion. There were clear issues in  
the book, Imperfect God, but if Jan's assessment of the thesis of the  book 
is correct, this seems to be a case of a desire to make a dramatic new  
point [and sell lots of books] leading to a distortion of the evidence.
