Thanks very much!  With such a big soap-making operation at Monticello I
wonder why TJ bought soap from Jenny for 1/3 in 1773.  (Memorandum Book, p.
353.) I guess he was running short. I'm interested in tracking the
independent, money-making operations of slaves at Monticello.  

I'm very much looking forward to the appearance of Dr. Kukla's book!
