The next program in the Virginia Heritage Resource Center's Mining the
Treasure House lecture series will be held at noon on Tuesday, 20
February 2007 in the conference rooms adjacent to the lobby of the
Library of Virginia at 800 East Broad Street in downtown Richmond.
Selden Richardson, architectural historian and president of the Alliance
to Preserve Old Richmond Neighborhoods (ACORN), will discuss and sign
Built by Blacks: African-American Architecture and Neighborhoods in
Richmond, VA. Richardson will highlight the contributions of African
Americans to the city's architectural heritage and will encourage the
preservation of what remains of this impressive legacy.
 
There is free underground parking for Library patrons but please note
