Some recent posters to this VA-HIST do not have all the factual research
that I have and will share with all.
As founder of the Thomas Jefferson Heritage Society, an act made
necessary because I could see the several agendas being played out and
wished to inform the public of things which the Monticello Study would
not do. To this very date Dr. Dan Jordan, Monticello President, REFUSES
to update and convene another study group (to include not only
Monticello researchers but those of the Thomas Jefferson Heritage
Society (www.tjheritage.org <http://www.tjheritage.org/> ) as well as
any knowledgeable historian or scientist. Thirteen of these top level
scholars formed the Scholars Commission and reported and found no proof
that Thomas Jefferson fathered slave children.

I agree with a recent poster that possibly Sally Hemings had more than
one father for her children, just as her mother did,...we only tested
one, Eston. The Hemings refuse to DNA test a son of Madison and Dr. Dan
Jordan will not suggest that to them either. Therefore, there is no DNA
to confirm that Madison and Eston have the same father. Dr. Foster was
remiss in not informing Nature Journal, Monticello, the media and the
citizens that the man he was testing (Eston's descendant), that that
family had ALWAYS claimed descent from "a Jefferson uncle", meaning
Randolph Jefferson, the President's brother. There is NO WAY there could
not be a match if their oral history were correct, there was a match,
therefore, it proved that Eston's family oral history was correct and
that Eston's DNA was that of "a" Jefferson, Randolph, as they had always
claimed, NOT Thomas.

Of course the Pike Co. newspaper article of Samuel Wetmore interview of
Madison was a farce also. Madison claims to have been named by Dolley
Madison at Monticello on his birth date, Jan. 19, 1805, but research
reveals that the Madisons NEVER traveled to Virginia from Washington
during the winter. If that claim is a lie just how many more of his
claims are false??

Dr. Jordan's refusal to re-accomplish another study, willing to stand
behind their original biased study that among other things, stated that
not only one but possibly ALL of her children may have been fathered by
Thomas Jefferson. This is a preposterous and biased assessment.only ONE
Hemings was tested. What is behind his refusal to put that study on a
level playing field? Yes, as an earlier poster mentioned, Annette
Gordon-Reed did completely change a valuable letter from Ellen Randolph
Coolidge to her husband, giving the reader a completely different
meaning. AGR's book and the Pike County newspaper article were used as
"road maps" in their study. Let Dr. Jordan know that you DEMAND and
expect a new study with ALL facts known! Full blown agendas are
prevalent everywhere surrounding this controversy.
