Thank you, Scott. This is the right Gilmore family, sons of James Gilmore, Sr. and Martha Dennison, but I'm not sure if any is the right property. How much info is in the policies? How do I go about getting copies?

Joanne

There are Mutual Assurance policies for the following Gilmores in Rockbridge
County:

James Gilmore, 1803, "Bank Creek" [barn]
Joseph Gilmore, 1803, "View Mont" [2 story brick house, kitchen, barn]
William Gilmore, 1803, "Gilead", [1 story frame house, barn]

Looks like all of them renewed their policies in 1805.
