I am enjoying visiting Virginia and seeing the sites here. Yesterday, my cousin and I went to Stapleton, and found our ancestors Church. The name of the Church is Fairmount Baptist, and it was founded in 1791. My ancestor, Rawley Pinn founded the church after his Revolutionary War Service. There are also graves on the site, with names like Beverly, Woodson, and Sparrow. The original church is located in Madison Heights a few miles before Stapleton. The Pinn's owned property in Lexington Parish in Amherst County. We are now exploring historical Roanoke.
