The recorded survey data of the Richd Perrin patent of 1672 cause trouble until
it is realized that the data (1) 1st describe the north-side side line & head
line - starting at James River & proceeding clockwise, then (2) again starting
at the river, proceeding counterclockwise down James River to Cornelius Ck then
into woods to meet the headline.

If one were to start at th mouth of Cornelius Ck and proceeded counterclockwise,
the survey data would read as follows:

"RPERD672","15 Mar 1672","Richd Perrin [PB 6: 445], 474 acres called
World's End - an interpretation.",5,474

"0. River 12 feet below Cornelius Ck, into woods",NEXN,104
"1. _____, then ",ENE,70
"2. Sta 5 assumed to be on Wm Cocke line, ",NWXN,185
"3. White oak corner, ",WSW,300
"4. River above Jno Burton's house, down river ","-",-1

(Here distances have been calculated in poles - 2 poles per chain)

Plats of this and other "placed" patent surveys is available as the file
Henrico.gz file useable by DeedMapper users..
