Hello.

I hereby offer everyone here a great opportunity to clean out your library shelves. The Mary Ball Washington Museum & Library in Lancaster, VA (The Northern Neck) has long boasted that among it's holdings of over 10,000 books and items has a "complete run of all major Virginia Magazines and Periodicals."

A recent survey by yours truly shows that this is not true. It may have been true at one time, but neglect, theft and whatever takes it toll. I am asking in a very public forum to help us make this true.  Here is what we are missing:

(1) Virginia Magazine of History and Biography:

Vol. 17 (1909). Entire year, No. 1-4
Vol. 85 (1977), No. 1, No. 4
Vol. 86-94, inclusive (1978-1986)

(2) William & Mary Quarterly

Series 2, Vol. 19, No. 4 (October 1939)
Series 3, Vol. 1-23 (1921-1943), missing entirely.
Series 3, Vol. 26, Nos. 2-4 (1969)
Series 3, Vol. 29, Nos. 1-3 (1972)
Series 3, Vol. 41-62, inclusive (1984-2000)

(3) Tyler's Quarterly

Vol. 11, No. 1 (July 1929)
Vol. 13, No. 1 (July 1931)
Vol. 14, No. 2 (October 1932)
Vol. 15, No. 4 (April 1934)
Volumes 16 through end of publication in 1952.
