Join the Library of Virginia on Wednesday November 15, 2006 at noon as we
welcome Angela Orrell to speak about her photographs in the Library's
current exhibition, "From the Seed to the Hand." The photographs provide a
glimpse into the lives of people who have worked tobacco for generations.
Orrell's timeless images serve as a record of the process of tobacco
farming, its gradual decline, and its deep legacy within the Dinwiddie
County families who made their living from the industry. "From the Seed to
the Hand," a photographic documentary, continues in the Exhibition Gallery
through November 30, 2006.
