DeedMapper is a computer program for researching deeds, grants and
surveys. It provides three "views" of deed information: text view for
deed entry, plot view for deed map, and table view for a summary
list. The program is offered by Direct Line Software,
<http://www.ultranet.com/~deeds>. Direct Line offers computer maps
compatible with the program; these maps show as backgrounds to parcels
which can be placed in their proper positions. You may also use topo
maps from various sources. There is a Rootsweb mail list for users of
this software: [log in to unmask] The members of
this list are very knowledgeable and helpful.
