Erik Goldstein, Curator of Mechanical Arts and Numismatics at Colonial
Williamsburg, has curated an exhibit that recently opened at the
DeWitt Wallace Museum entitled "Pounds, Pence and Pistareens: The
Coins and Currency of Colonial America." It's also available as an
on-line exhibit at
http://www.history.org/history/museums/online_exhibits.cfm.

I would strongly suggest contacting Erik ([log in to unmask]), who is
an expert in this area of numismatics, with any questions as to what
would be appropriate for the Eastern Shore during the colonial period.
