A couple of weeks ago the H-Net list H-South published a review of Samuel C.
Shepherd's recent excellent book, Avenues of Faith: Shaping the Urban
Religious Culture of Richmond, Virginia, 1900-1929.

I do not have an electronic text to forward, as I have done with some
previous reviews, but you can find the review in H-South's archive at
http://www2.h-net.msu.edu/reviews/showrev.cgi?path=148531004726220

Please respect the letter and spirit of the copyright notice that
accompanies the review.
