I love this from the SOL cirriculum for second graders.  Who came up  with 
this list of notables for them to learn and know?  Is this the best  group they 
could think of out of the history of America?  Jackie  Robinson?
 
 
 
The student  will identify George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Susan B. 
Anthony, Helen  Keller, Jackie Robinson, and Martin Luther King, Jr. as Americans 
whose  contributions improved the lives of other  Americans.
