The governor presented Queen Elizabeth with a copy of an early American
edition of Thomas Jefferson's Notes on the State of  Virginia. I do not
know the imprint but understand that it is a very rare one containing an
engraving of the Natural Bridge. He also presented her with a copy of an
early edition of Thomas Jefferson's Manual of Parliamentary Practice.
