It is not on the current USGS maps according to Biggs's Geographic and
Cultural Names in Virginia; you might try
http://www.maptech.com/index.cfm [select online maps in the top menu
bar; then historical maps]  they are posting older USGS quads that might
show the stream. I would also suggest checking out any of the
appropriate maps, especially Civil War, on the Library of Congress Web site.
